About our automation platform
Emoco offers a cloud-based development environment where users can collaborate on design and development. Our platform includes tools for coding, testing, and debugging automation applications. We also provide infrastructure for receiving and transmitting real-time data, which can be used to improve performance, predict maintenance needs, and optimize operations.
Emoco provides a hardware abstraction layer based on the ROS 2 standard, allowing developers to write software that works with a variety of automation hardware without managing the specific details of each component. Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code
Maintaining code quality through test automation and peer code reviews

Vår webbtjänst
Emoco utvecklar styrsystem som en cloudservice. I styrsystemen använder vi oss av ROS och Linux. De webbbaserade tjänsterna inkluderar bland annat ett IDE med editor, terminal och filhanterare. Användarna kan även enkelt skapa en egen dashboard för att styra och monitorera robotar. Kunden får också tillgång till en knowledgebase med boilerplates och en e-commerceplattform där användarna kan köpa, sälja och dela med sig av tjänster och produkter.

About our web service
At Emoco we develop control systems that we offer our users as a cloud service. For the control systems we use ROS and Linux and the web-based services include an IDE with editor, terminal and file manager. The user can easily create their own dashboard to control and monitor functions. The customer also gets access to a knowledge base with boilerplates and an e-commerce platform where users can buy, sell or share services and products.

At the lab in Stockholm we innovate and develop automation related software and hardware. We are a contributor to the Emoco eco system. Software development span from cloud based micro services to embedded motor algorithms. Motion control parts and arrangements are developed and tested in the lab and together with partners. We are working full-stack from infrastructure, deployment, database and Node.js back-end up to front-end apps with Vue.js and Typescript. We develop embedded functions in C/C++ and Python.
You don’t have to have prior experience in working with industrial automation but you need find a true joy in learning new technology and a desire to always do things a little bit better than yesterday. The end result needs to be trustworthy.


As an embedded software engineer you can master micro controllers (PWM, ADC, Timers and communication protocols). You are used to consume micro controller data sheets. You feel confident in designing and writing firmware from scratch or dig in to a Linux driver. You know how to set up communication between an Android device and an Arduino device. You can set up Wifi communication between an ESP8266 and a RPI using Websockets. Connect an Arduino to the web using WebUSB. You are not afraid to pick up a soldering iron if required. You may not have all the required skills yet but you are eager to learn.
